Fans of Ugandan comedian Ann Kansiime were in a state of shock after a sensational report claiming she has been arrested at Heathrow Airport while trying to smuggle cocaine into England started circulating online.
The obviously fake story spread like wild fire on social media with many fans falling for it. However, Kansiime has reacted to the story saying that not only is the report false, she is totally fine.
” I’m safe,” said Kansiime in an interview with Ugandan blog Howwe.biz on February 16. “I’m not in prison, I am actually at National theater preparing for tonight’s show.”
Rumor had it that the singer uses her frequent European tours to smuggle the drugs and that’s why it appears she is living a lavish life. The report also claimed she was arrested with 2kgs of drugs worth almost KSh10 million.
After all, how could she amass those many gigs with the recent creativity block she was hit by,” read the article that was posted on a UK website.
